Act of Adoration and Thanksgiving

The Acts
Act of Faith
Credo in te, quia tu ipsa Véritas es; et, sicut ea Ecclésiæ revelásti, credo omnes veritátes sacras quas sancta Ecclésia cathólica credit et docet.
I believe in Thee, because Thou art Truth itself, and, as Thou hast revealed them to her, I believe all the sacred truths which the holy Catholic Church believes and teaches.
Act of Hope
Spero in te, quia omnípotens es, misericordíssimus, et promissiónibus tuis fidélis; spero me véniam peccatórum meórum consecutúrum, grátiam sancte vivéndi et sancte moriéndi, atque beatitúdinem ætérnam per mérita Iesu Christi, Dómini et Redemptóris mei.
I hope in Thee, because Thou art omnipotent, most merciful, and faithful to Thy promises; I hope to obtain the pardon of my sins, the grace to lead a holy life, and to obtain a happy death, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer.
Act of Love
Amo te toto corde meo, et super ómnia, quia infiníte bonus es; et propter te díligo próximum meum sicut meípsum.
I love Thee with my whole heart, and above all things, because Thou art infinitely good; and for Thy sake I love my neighbour as myself.
Act of Supplication
I beseech Thee most earnestly to bless me; that I may serve Thee faithfully this day by a perfect devotedness to all my duties and a steadfast adherence to all my promises and good resolutions.
Act of Contrition
I am truly sorry for having sinned because Thou art infinitely good and sin displeases Thee. I will avoid the occasions of sin and strive in all things to do Thy holy will.
Act of Consecration
Volo hunc diem et omnes dies vitæ meæ honóri tuo et glóriæ tuæ consecráre.
I wish to consecrate this day and all the days of my life to Thy honour and glory.
The Offering
Offering
I offer Thee all my prayers, works and sufferings, in union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, for the intentions for which He pleads and offers Himself in the holy sacrifice of the Mass, in thanksgiving for Thy benefits, in reparation for my offences, in humble supplication for our temporal and eternal welfare, for the wants of our holy Mother the Church, for the conversion of sinners, and for the relief of the souls in purgatory.
Intention for the Indulgences
Inténdo lucrári omnes indulgéntias oratiónibus quas hoc die dicam et opéribus bonis quæ perfíciam adnéxas; ac státuo omnes indulgéntias quas lucrári possum in favórem animárum in purgatório applicáre.
I have the intention to gain all the indulgences attached to the prayers I shall say, and to the good works I shall perform this day: I resolve to gain all the indulgences I can in favour of the souls in purgatory.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Apostles' Creed, Glory
Said in this order
Pater noster, qui es in cælis, sanctificétur nomen tuum. Advéniat regnum tuum. Fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cælo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidiánum da nobis hódie, et dimítte nobis débita nostra, sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris. Et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem, sed líbera nos a malo. Amen.
Ave María, grátia plena, Dóminus tecum. Benedícta tu in muliéribus, et benedíctus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta María, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatóribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostræ. Amen.
Credo in Spíritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclésiam cathólicam, Sanctórum communiónem, remissiónem peccatórum, carnis resurrectiónem, vitam ætérnam. Amen.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui Sancto. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
