O my God, I firmly believe that Thou art one God in three divine Persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost; I believe that Thy divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the holy Catholic Church teaches, because Thou hast revealed them, who canst neither deceive nor be deceived. Amen.

O my God, relying on Thy almighty power and infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of Thy grace, and life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

O my God, I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because Thou art all-good and worthy of all my love. I love my neighbour as myself for the love of Thee. I forgive all who have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen.

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

O Lord my God, from this moment I accept at Thy hand willingly and with submission the kind of death that it may please Thee to send me, with all its pains, penalties and sorrows. Amen.

Take, O Lord, all my liberty. Receive my memory, my understanding and my whole will. Whatsoever I have or possess, Thou hast bestowed upon me: I give it all back to Thee, and surrender it wholly to be governed by Thy will. O Holy Ghost, most sweet guest of my soul, enlighten my mind, strengthen my will, and grant me Thy sevenfold gifts: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and the fear of the Lord. Amen.

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst impress upon my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity, with true repentance for my sins and a most firm desire of amendment; whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious wounds, having before mine eyes that which David the prophet long ago spoke in Thine own person concerning Thee, my Jesus: They have pierced my hands and my feet; they have numbered all my bones.

Most sweet Jesus, be not my judge, but my Saviour.

Jesus, the very thought of Thee with sweetness fills the breast; but sweeter far Thy face to see, and in Thy presence rest.

Nor voice can sing, nor heart can frame, nor can the memory find a sweeter sound than Thy blest name, O Saviour of mankind.

Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thy altar. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy most Sacred Heart.

℣. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. ℟. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world.

Rubric: The Stations are made before fourteen crosses canonically erected, moving from one to the next and meditating devoutly upon the Passion of Our Lord. No fixed prayer is prescribed; meditation on the Passion suffices. Those lawfully impeded may gain the same indulgence by holding a crucifix blessed for the purpose and saying twenty Our Fathers, Hail Marys and Glory Bes.

Most holy five wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ, heal the wounds of our souls. By Thy most sacred Passion, deliver us, O Lord.

Abroad the regal banners fly, now shines the Cross's mystery; upon it Life did death endure, and yet by death did life procure.

O Cross, our one reliance, hail! So may thy power with us avail to give new virtue to the saint, and pardon to the penitent.

At the Cross her station keeping, stood the mournful Mother weeping, close to Jesus to the last.

Through her heart, His sorrow sharing, all His bitter anguish bearing, now at length the sword had passed.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ in satisfaction for my sins and for the needs of holy Church.

Godhead here in hiding, whom I do adore, Masked by these bare shadows, shape and nothing more, See, Lord, at Thy service low lies here a heart Lost, all lost in wonder at the God Thou art.

Seeing, touching, tasting are in Thee deceived; How says trusty hearing? that shall be believed; What God's Son has told me, take for truth I do; Truth Himself speaks truly, or there's nothing true.

O saving Victim, opening wide the gate of heaven to man below; our foes press on from every side, Thine aid supply, Thy strength bestow.

To Thy great name be endless praise, immortal Godhead, One in Three; O grant us endless length of days in our true native land with Thee. Amen.

Down in adoration falling, lo, the sacred Host we hail; lo, o'er ancient forms departing, newer rites of grace prevail; faith for all defects supplying, where the feeble senses fail.

To the everlasting Father, and the Son who reigns on high, with the Holy Ghost proceeding forth from each eternally, be salvation, honour, blessing, might and endless majesty. Amen.

My Jesus, I believe that Thou art truly present in the most holy Sacrament of the Altar. I love Thee above all things, and I desire to receive Thee into my soul. Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace Thee as if Thou wert already there, and unite myself wholly to Thee: never permit me to be separated from Thee.

Behold, Lord Jesus, I come to Thee, to adore Thee hidden in this Sacrament, to give Thee thanks for Thy benefits, to implore pardon for my sins, and to beg Thy mercy for myself and for all whom Thou lovest. May praise and thanksgiving be every moment given to the most holy and divine Sacrament.

I, N., give and consecrate myself to the most Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, and I consecrate to Him my person and my life, my actions, pains and sufferings, so that henceforth I may wish for nothing but to honour, love and glorify that Heart.

O sweet Jesus, whose overflowing charity towards men is requited by so much forgetfulness, negligence and contempt, behold us prostrate before Thy altar, eager to repair by a special act of homage the cruel indifference and injuries to which Thy loving Heart is everywhere subject.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Heart of Jesus, I put my trust in Thee.

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine.

Rubric: The Rosary consists of five decades of Hail Marys, each preceded by an Our Father and followed by a Glory Be, with meditation on the Joyful, Sorrowful or Glorious mysteries. A plenary indulgence is granted when the five decades are said in church or before the Blessed Sacrament exposed or reserved; a partial indulgence of ten years otherwise.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.

Rubric: Granted for visiting a cemetery and praying, even mentally, for the departed.

Rubric: A priest imparts the apostolic blessing to the dying. One who cannot have a priest gains the same plenary indulgence by invoking the most holy Name of Jesus with the lips, or if unable, in the heart, and by accepting death patiently from the hand of God.

Rubric: Those who read the Sacred Scriptures for a quarter of an hour with the reverence due to the divine word gain an indulgence of three years; a plenary indulgence once a month under the usual conditions if the reading is daily.

Rubric: Those who teach or learn Christian doctrine gain an indulgence of three years each time; a plenary indulgence twice a month under the usual conditions.
